Valencia Aerospace Distribution Company is looking for a temporary HR Recruiter. The HR Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring and retaining the best possible talent. This is a temporary role. Work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.  Approximately 90 days – could go longer depending on the need.

Pay is $25-$25/hr DOE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain open requisitions, assist Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners with the requisition approval process and ensure accurate reporting of all open, pending and closed positions utilizing the Company’s recruiting tool
  • Perform Intake meetings with Hiring Managers to ensure understanding of skills and experience requirements, timetables and interviewing process for each open position
  • Initiate the recruiting process by ensuring accurate job postings to external job boards, state and/or local unemployment offices, colleges and universities, and niche job boards. Will expand the recruiting avenues to encompass a diverse candidate base and meet affirmative action guidelines
  • Receive all incoming applicant information, prescreen and assess candidates to specifications and coordinate with hiring managers on applicant pool and candidate quality. Will work with Hiring Managers to schedule interviews, gather feedback and refine search if needed.
  • Respond timely to candidates who don’t qualify or have not been selected
  • Work with HR Business Partners to streamline and promote internal posting opportunities
  • Accurately update applicant information in appropriate data base

REQUIREMENTS

  • Some college course-work or Bachelor’s Degree preferred; HR certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years relevant experience in recruiting is required including non-exempt and exempt hiring practices and procedures
  • Experience with high volume recruiting
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, explain and instruct employees in the processes, procedures and the particulars of various recruiting practices with a “specialist-level” competency
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within multiple levels of the Company and a diverse population of internal customers
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear and accurate data entry and documentation skills
  • Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong competency working with HRIS data systems and utilization of third-party websites; also Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required
  • Selected candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, criminal and employment background clearance
